We are Steve + Anne Truppe, a husband and wife photography and video team, who strive to evoke emotion and authenticity in all our work.

While studying architectural design at The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, we quickly discovered how well our creative visions meshed, but after graduating in 2008 during the economic crash, we forged a new path by pursuing a joint passion in photography. Together we established Tru Studio, shooting side by side on commercial and advertising projects for clients such as Kimberly-Clark, Discover, Procter & Gamble, Kinfolk, Google, McDonald’s, State Farm and Vital Proteins. Exploring, discovering, and creating together inspires us to push our vision forward.

Some of our favorite things include taking our dog, Ferne, to the park, traveling to new places, and sipping delicious coffee. Every Friday, we make homemade pizza from scratch, which we have dubbed ‘Pizza Friday!’

We have been written up by the Chicago Tribune and featured by ADC Global, Apple, FPO, A Photo Editor and Creative Mornings Chicago, among others.
